Pregnancy Yoga prepares your mind and body for birth.

Yoga is a spiritual discipline which includes breath control, simple meditation and relaxation, and the adoption of specific body postures widely practised for health benefits and relaxation.
Pregnancy is just a little mysterious and yoga gives you the tools to slow down and enjoy your pregnancy experience by accepting and respecting the incredible transformation your body is going through, growing a new life within.
The flow through your system of chakras which are your spinning energy centres and are located throughout the spine, can be strengthened and enhanced by the practice of yoga.
Essentially pregnancy and birth yoga means union / relationship and this could be the relationship between Mother and baby, Mother and Father, Father and baby, or Mother, Father and baby. It can transform your body and your mind.
Yoga is a great prenatal exercise as it increases your flexibility over time and assists you to practice mindfulness, links your breath to movement, balances your nervous system, regulates your circulation, balances hormones and prepares you for your labour and birth.
For a little bit of fun – Yoda from Starwars says “you either do or don’t do – there is no try” and in birth this is especially so.
