W : Word Association

Positive word association can change your brain!

Sigmund Freud once remarked that “words have magical power, they can bring either the greatest happiness or deepest despair … words are capable of arousing the strongest emotions”.

Choosing positive words to focus on and use during pregnancy that are gentle, flowing and positive rather than negative and harsh is what you should be focused on using.

Your brain 🧠 processes information based on what you hear as well as the emotions attached to positive and negative language. You’re creating a new way of thinking on a subconscious level with your language.

Using affirmations is a great tool to use to focus on developing positive language to use for your pregnancy, labour and birth.

“The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.”
