D : Due Date

A normal pregnancy is 37 – 42 weeks.

Baby is fully formed at 37 weeks and if the pregnancy goes for longer, baby will just have more fat deposited and will gain some more weight.

The earlier your first ultrasound the more accurate your ‘due date’ will be. Why not call it a guess date instead as you don’t actually know exactly when baby will decide to be born.

Be vague when people ask you when bub is due – say something like early April, mid May or the end of June. You don’t need their negative comments.

Everyone thinks they’re an expert when it comes to birth – and they’re not.

Keep it all a bit mysterious! 💖

“A new baby is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.”
