Homegrown, Whole & Happy Farm Day
Homegrown Organics is a working organic market garden located in the Upper Rollands Plains valley, approximately 40 minutes from Port Macquarie.
As part of the North Coast Festival of Flavour, Homegrown Organics is hosting Homegrown, Whole & Happy Farm Day on Sunday 5 June 2022.
Garden-To-Plate Family Experience
Homegrown Organics is excited to invite you to a family-focused day of fun and a sunset picnic for a garden-to-plate experience, as part of the 2022 North Coast Festival of Flavour.
A treat for all ages! Features home gardening masterclass, exploration scavenger hunt, sunset picnic, Blue Cow Gelato and live music around the fire.
This authentic experience begins at 3:00pm with afternoon tea and backyard games for young and old alike. Try your hand at giant hopscotch, tug of war and other classic games. And receive your complimentary take-home pack of product samples.
As a special treat, the famous Blue Cow Gelato of Port Macquarie will be available during the afternoon. Kids each get one free gelato!
Adults are welcome to participate in a Home Gardening Masterclass with Rod or get involved with the kids in the garden-based scavenger hunt, culminating in a garden-to-plate cooking class. Kids will love feeding horses, exploring and picking veggies for dinner, playing games, and getting their garden passports stamped.
As the sun sets, sit down for your delicious garden-to-plate meal and relax to the acoustic soundtrack of local musician Kyle Moore. Soak up the magic of the farm in the evening and listen as the birds say ‘goodnight’ and the night symphony takes over.
If the glorious stars are too beautiful to leave, camping will be available for those who wish to spend the night on the farm. Bookings for camping can be made via Hipcamp. Just search for Homegrown Organics Farm.
