Showcasing Local Art Students

Featuring the works of 52 talented school students aged between 5 and 17, the Drawn to Art Exhibition is a showcase of local artistic talent.

These budding artists travel from across the Mid North Coast to attend weekly classes at the Drawn to Art School in Port Macquarie, where they are encouraged to embrace their creativity and explore their unique artistic personas.

Opening on Sunday 30 April at 10am, the exhibition will run for 9 weeks until 2pm Sunday 02 July 2023, and with free admission, it’s an opportunity not to be missed.

Under the expert guidance of art teacher Jane Whitfield, students of all ages and abilities are nurtured and encouraged to develop their talents and express their creativity in a warm and welcoming environment.

“An exclusive children’s Drawn to Art Exhibition, which showcases our art school’s students’ exceptional talent. This exhibition gives young artists in our local community the opportunity to publicly exhibit their artworks and express their creative and artistic talents through visual means. As an Artist and Art Teacher, it is my passion to nurture, encourage and challenge each student to reach new levels of artistic accomplishment. Out of 150 students, 53 were selected to represent Drawn to Art in this prestigious exhibition. Congratulations and well done to these amazing creative souls.

~ Jane Whitfield, Art Teacher, Drawn to Art School

This exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to support these talented young artists and their passion for art. For many, having their work showcased publicly can be a great confidence booster and validation of their talent, inspiring them to continue pursuing their artistic ambitions.

As well as showcasing the talents of local students, the Drawn to Art Exhibition provides an opportunity for the wider community to appreciate and foster a love of the arts, promoting a greater sense of community involvement and pride.

Whether you’re an art lover or simply looking for a day out with the kids, a visit to the Drawn to Art Exhibition is an ideal way to support local artists, appreciate their growth, and experience the creativity of the local community.
